Dr. Broussard's academic and clinical training has been primarily with children and families with particular attention to grief and bereavement, anger management, parent-child conflict, abuse, and divorce. However, he has extensive training in the areas of psychological and physical trauma, domestic violence, life adjustment issues, depression, anxiety, stress, and learning basic coping skills. Dr. Broussard's diverse experiences with children and families in the home, school, community, and agency settings has provided him with a clinical framework for conceptualizing human behavior. In other words, Dr. Broussard explains that, "It is important to understand that human behavior and the decisions we make do not occur in a vacuum. Rather, the choices we make and consequences we experience evolve within the context of relationships. That is, relationships with other people and ourselves."
